22 of Portsmouth’s neighbourhoods are among the 20% most income-deprived in England and as the charitable arm of Portsmouth Football Club, we aim to ensure people living in those neighbourhoods have access to education, participation, health and wellbeing in an inclusive way. Named after D-Day Veteran and Pompey fan, our John Jenkins Stadium will not only be an amazing football and boxing facility but it will be a community hub for people to belong, grow and achieve. Last year, 36,000 participants accessed our programmes with 3,000 children engaged in curriculum activity. We distributed approximately 3.6 tonnes of food bank donations across Portsmouth. We offered over 1,000 places during the Summer holidays for children on free school meals to access activities and food with 95% of these parents and carers said they wouldn’t have access to hot meals in the holidays without this programme. 95% of our Bluesability Adult Disability participants report increased feelings of happiness and 93% of our Life’n’Chimes Dementia support group report reduced feelings of loneliness. Our Pompey Pedals team volunteered 6000 hours to provide access to inclusive cycling. We have over 70 students completing a qualification with us at Level 3 or above and over 350 young people playing in our grassroots and elite football programmes. Businesses can support us through purchasing advertising at the John Jenkins Stadium, sponsor our league, cup and tour winning grassroots football teams but also donate and fundraise to support our wide range of programmes that serve the people of Portsmouth.
