Looking to Organise an Event?

November 25, 2024

The first step in planning a successful event is to establish tangible goals and objectives. Ask yourself these 4 questions:

1. Why am I organising this event?

2. What do I hope to achieve?

3. Who is this event aimed at?

4. What are my measures of success?

Once you've answered these questions and set your dates and book your venue as soon as possible. Your event needs a confirmed date and location before you can begin promoting it.

The University of Reading offers a range of venues across its three campuses. Near Reading town centre you will find the Whiteknights and the London Road campuses offering all year round meeting and conference spaces as well as up to 2,000 bedrooms in the summer.

Close to Henley is the 30-acre Henley Business School estate in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, alongside the River Thames. Venue Henley offers all year-round conference, meeting, and private function spaces along with a 100-bed hotel. The available spaces provide a convenient location to meet, eat and stay overnight.

The University offers Day Delegate Packages which are designed to give you best value for money, ensuring you have everything you need for the day, giving you the opportunity to concentrate on the content of a quality event programme.

Whether you choose a Reading or Henley venue, an experienced colleague from either the Venue Reading or Venue Henley team will work with you event goals and objectives.
