Could the worst possible time could be the best possible time to launch or grow your product and service? My name is Lyndsey Clay and I founded Connected Brighton in the 2021 pandemic. I created an in person social events business, in a socially distanced pandemic. Yep, read it again, in person social events in a socially distanced pandemic. Crazy right, what was I thinking? I was thinking I need this. I had a changing social circle due to being divorced without kids and I was looking for people who also wanted to make the most of life. Never underestimate the value you can bring in a crisis! Learn my top ten tips for starting or growing your business at what seems like the worst possible time.
Lyndsey started her blog, Not The Blueprint triggered by her divorce and a passion to share her story to help others impacted by infertility. This lead to a feature in the Huffington Post, speaking at Belong Con on the power of sharing our stories and qualifying as a Performance Coach.
Her drive to inspire, support and champion those who have found themselves at a different pace to their peers and in need of connection led her to create Connected Brighton, the Social Concierge service that supports local.
Lyndsey is also the co-founder of The Single Sessions, a dating events brand, and hosts the Brighton Business Show on Radio Reverb.
She’s been featured on Heart Radio, The Argus, Brighton Journal, BN1 Magazine, Good Vibes Podcast, Insane in the Fem Brain with comedian Rich Wilson, Sussex Business Times, the County Business Podcast and recently won the RWC Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 award.
